Where RakeHold Began…
In 2020, a simple challenge on the golf course sparked a new idea when course conditions changed dramatically due to COVID-19. With rakes now required on every cart, the standard set up quickly led to players growing frustrated by the hassle—awkward storage, sandy bags, even the occasional splinter from rakes overexposed to the elements.
Listening closely, caddying at the Pete Dye Course at French Lick, and feeling the same pain myself, I knew there had to be a better way. One idea led to another, and by 2023 the concept for a smarter, cleaner rake solution was born—I designed and built an attachment to securely store rakes on the cart roof (for the first time in golf history), keeping them protected, out of the way, and always within reach.
Finally, a multi-beneficial solution that eliminates time and energy wasted on locating and fetching rakes during course play and routine maintenance tasks.
If we store the sand bottles on carts to fix divots after some fairway shots, why not the rakes that are required after every bunker shot?
At RakeHold, we set out to answer that question—and the results have improved the Golfer/Caddie and Greenskeeper experience.
When the rakes go up, the cost comes down.
